Company formations in Ireland, without the back-and-forth
Registering a company is simple when everything lines up and slow when it doesn't. A name too close to an existing one, a director without the right ID, or a form signed in the wrong place can send an application back to the start. We are a Dublin accountancy practice, so we catch those problems before anything reaches the Companies Registration Office.
If you want to register an Irish company, we prepare the documents, file the application and register the new business with Revenue. Irish founders, overseas owners and advisers placing clients with us all get the same thing: a named person who answers questions in plain English.
We don't disappear when the certificate arrives. Bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and first annual returns are what we do every day, so your company setup in Ireland starts on solid ground instead of a pile of loose ends.
Need to be trading soon? Our express service puts your application first in line as soon as we have your details. We turn the paperwork around quickly, keep your directors informed and file the moment everything is signed. Once it is with the CRO, processing time is theirs, and we will tell you honestly what to expect.
The CRO's own targets are 10 working days, or 5 under its Fé Phráinn scheme for approved promoters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers to help you navigate company registration and compliance in Ireland.
Is my company name available?
You can search the CRO's company register yourself, but a clear search does not guarantee approval, because the CRO can also refuse names it finds too close to existing ones. An LTD's name must end in “Limited” or “Teoranta”. Send us two or three options and we will check them for free and tell you which is safest to file.
Should I trade as a limited company or a sole trader?
A limited company is its own legal person, so business debts generally sit with the company rather than with you. A sole trader and the business are the same person. Trading profits in a company are taxed at 12.5%, but you pay more tax and do more admin when you take money out, so the saving depends on how much you actually draw. We can run your figures before you decide.
Can I switch from sole trader to a limited company?
Yes. You register the company, move the business across and stop trading as a sole trader. Contracts, VAT, stock and equipment all need thought, so plan the changeover with an accountant before you set a date.
Can a non-resident be a director of an Irish company?
Yes. At least one director must live in the EEA. If none does, the company needs a €25,000 Section 137 bond, or a Section 140 certificate from the CRO obtained after incorporation. Every director also needs a PPS number or an Identified Person Number. Tell us early and we will map out the quickest route.
How long does company registration take?
The CRO's targets are 10 working days for an ordinary online application and 5 under its Fé Phráinn scheme for approved promoters, counted from a correct submission. The time before filing depends mostly on how quickly directors send ID and signed forms.
What happens after the certificate of incorporation arrives?
File beneficial ownership details within five months, open a business bank account, register for VAT or payroll if they apply to you, and start your bookkeeping. We can handle each of these as part of an ongoing service.
